My Gorgeous Girl

This week marks the week that my little girl would have started Prep if she was still here with us :( It's these little milestones that we have missed out on, that makes it the hardest. I have been missing her so much lately & on days when all I can do is think about her, I really love to scrapbook beautiful pages for her. And who said trains were just for boys!?! I really love how this turned out & it always makes my heart smile when I have finished a page for her. Now I just have to finish the matching pages for my gorgeous boys ♥
I have used Rose Red DSP & Pretty in Pink 12x12 cardstock. I cut the track in the same colour & then cut the train & carriages in Perfect Plum, Marina Mist, Rose Red, So Saffron & Certainly Celery. I used the same colours, including Pretty in Pink to stamp all the images. The jungle animals are a mix from a few different sets, "Wild About You", "Fox & Friends" & the owl is from "Forest Friends". The border punches that I have used were the Scallop Border & Eyelet Border punches. I wanted to do some journaling for this page so I just made up a word document of straight lines & then printed them onto Whisper White cardstock & cut it in the Big Shot using the Top Note Die. I trimmed around the perforated edge to make it a little smaller & then cut another Top Note out of Rose Red Cardstock to layer it.
I really love how it turned out! Hope you like it!

Love you baby girl xx

Scrapbooking - Decorating your own paper

Sometimes I really struggle to find papers that are suitable for baby layouts, so being able to make your own background page is great! Not only can you choose the colours but you can choose your theme as well. These layouts are relatively simple to do but they look great once the photos are added. I decided on 2 of my favourite stamps the butterfly is from "Hope & Strength" & the Lion is from "Wild About You", both are now retired, but I love them. You can achieve the same sort of look with any of your favourite stamps, I just chose these two. The colours for the girls page I have used Pretty In Pink, Wisteria Wonder (which I LOVE) & Certainly Celery & for the boys page I used Marina Mist, Island Indigo & Wisteria Wonder again. To stamp my bubba's names I used the "Just Perfect Alphabet" set, which is great because it is only $35.95 & is so handy to have!
I used the Scallop Border & Scallop Trim border punches to add the detail at the bottom of the photo mat & title at the top of the page. I love these punches...they are such a great investment as I use mine so much! The beautiful ribbons that I have used are the new Ruffled Ribbons in Wisteria Wonder & Island Indigo. I just love the textured look & feel that they have.
I wanted to take a close up of this one, to show the birth certificate stamp from the gorgeous baby set called Little Additions. I must admit I mainly bought this set just for this individual stamp because I love it so much for baby pages ♥

Christmas Owl Fancy Favor Boxes

These gorgeous little Christmas Owls were inspired by the gorgeous little babies you will see at this link on Jacqui Crouch's blog http://crouchingdoggraphics.com.au/2011/11/10/the-bent-inks-hit-brisbane-regional-training/ ! The original design was by Dianne Pickford in Alstonville. I loved them so much when I saw Jacqui's team all wearing them! This is my version & I decided to use it as the feature for these Fancy Favor Boxes. I really love how they turned out! I used Cherry Cobbler & Old Olive card stock & I stamped the owl & gift tag in Cherry Cobbler. The gorgeous little scalloped circle is from the Perfect Pennants die which I LOVE!!! & I used a scalloped oval punch, cut in half to make the owls wings. I made these for my kids to give to their teachers for Christmas :)

Close up! Merry Christmas Everyone :)

Sympathy Card

This is a fairly recent Sympathy Card that I made for a lady & her family. This is so different to anything I have made so far, but I just wanted to make sure they new how much I was thinking of them & was so very sorry for their loss. Life is so very sad sometimes♥

Anniversary or Valentines Day Card

I made this card last week for my Dad to give to my Mum for there wedding anniversary. I used the I (heart) hearts set & embossed the backgound with the perfect polka dots embossing folder. I really love the Melon Mambo & Basic Black together & think this would make a great Valentines Day card too♥ Hope you like it :)

Cottage Garden Medallion Cards

I love this Medallion Background Stamp. This was the first time I used it & I really love how it turned out! 'The Love Life & it will love you back' sentiment & butterfly is from one of my favourite sets, 'Cottage Garden'! At the bottom of the cards I have layered 3 of our border punches ~ The scallop ribbon border, Lace Ribbon Border & Scallop Border Punches. I also used the Decorative Label, Boho Blossoms & Scallop Oval punches. I didn't realise until I finished making this one that I managed to use 6 different Stampin' Up! punches!!! If you would like to order a catalogue to view the amazing ranges of Punches, Stamps, Inks & Coordinating Papers feel free to contact me :) Not only is the catalogue full exciting Stamping & Scrapbooking products, but it is FULL of creative ideas to help you along the way :)

Tempting Turquoise & Crumb Cake colours :)

Melon Mambo & Crumb Cake Colours :)

I wanted to challenge myself with these, because I always tend to stick to the Brights or Subtles, so I thought I would add some Crumb Cake into the mix & I really like it!

For the Newlyweds

A gorgeous friend of mine got married a few months ago & this was the card I gave to them both. They had a black & white themed wedding & it was just beautiful. Actually the most beautiful wedding I have ever been too! I used Whisper White & Basic Black cardstock & cut the butterflies using the beautiful butterflies die & then embossed them with the vintage wall paper embossing folder. (If you haven't noticed already I love this butterfly die & use it on almost everything LOL) To finish them off I added a little bling♥

My Little Angel ~ Scrapbook Page

This is a page I made for my precious baby girl in Heaven♥ The gorgeous paper is from last years Nursery Necessities DSP pack. The beautiful Sunset Butterfly is by the gorgeous Carly Marie. In honour of her precious Son's memory, Carly writes the 'Names in the sand' of all the precious children that are gone to soon, as well as these beautiful sunset butterflies. I can't tell you how much these images mean to me. I love them so much!

Easter Treats ~ Fancy Favor Baskets

For Easter this year, I gave everyone in our family one of these little Fancy Favor Baskets full of easter eggs.

Tall Tales Birthday Card

This cute little card I made for my Little Man's Best Friend earlier this year. I love this Tall Tales DSP & I'm so sad that it's no longer available as it was always so great for boys cards! I've also used Old Olive & Chocolate Chip cardstock & the Wish Big sentiment is from the set "Word Play" which is still available :)

Brights Card & Matching Pillow Box

These are a Card & Matching Pillow Box that I made for a friend a little while ago. I didn't really know how they would turn out to start with, especially because I decided on so many very bright colours, but I ended up really happy with the end result.

I used Old Olive, Pacific Point & Melon Mambo all from the Brights colour family & a piece of Pumpkin Pie polka dot DSP & of course the Beautiful Butterflies die & Pillow Box die & embossed them using the Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder.
